Does StampMyVisa provide document pickup and drop service?
Yes. If needed, we can provide document pickup and drop service for residents of Mumbai, Pune and Delhi. If you belong to any other city, you can courier your documents and passports to our office through BlueDart. BlueDart is our official logistics partner and they are experts in handling passports. Embassies, Consulates and Visa Application Centres all trust BlueDart with their passports.
Will I be required to submit my original passport to StampMyVisa?
If in-person application is mandatory: You will need to visit the application centre yourself to submit the visa application along with your passports. In this case, you need not submit your original passport to our experts. Our experts can process your application based on soft copies of your passport’s data pages. If an eVisa is available: You just need to provide soft copies of requisite documents over email and our experts will process your visa application based on these copies alone. If StampMyVisa will submit the application on your behalf: You will need to handover your passport to our executive for processing your application. Our executive will provide you a passport receipt with passport numbers mentioned for acknowledging the receipt of passport by StampMyVisa. We transport your passports in tamper-evident bags to ensure that your passports are not tampered with while in-transit.
Does StampMyVisa guarantee my visa?
No one can guarantee you a visa apart from the consular authorities. Local travel agents who claim to have connections at the missions that can help you get a visa guaranteed are mostly taking you for a ride. Such agents may also submit fabricated documents along with your visa application that may get you in legal trouble. Be wary of handing your important documents to agents who make such claims.
What happens if my visa gets rejected?
Experts at StampMyVisa will review your documents as per consulate guidelines and as per experience gathered by them through processing thousands of visa applications. Our experts will take care of your visa application as if it were their own application. However, the decision on your visa application is made by the consulate/embassy and their decision will be final and binding. Sometimes, consulate/embassy may provide a reason for visa refusal. StampMyVisa cannot guarantee your visa but our experts will ensure that your visa application is up to the mark as expected by the consulate/embassy. Importantly, you will require minimum efforts in preparing the application when your visa application is being handled by our experts.
Should I book my flights and hotels prior to applying for my visa?
Some countries require you to reserve your flight tickets and hotels prior to applying for your visa. Few countries even require confirmed prepaid flight tickets to be submitted along with your visa application. You can check our visa requirements to know if you need to make your travel bookings prior to applying for your visa.
How much balance do I need to maintain in my bank account?
This is a subjective question and is dependent on various factors including your travel duration, who is paying for whom, your travel history, your monthly salary and most importantly the country you will be visiting. Only your personal visa expert can answer this question correctly for you after reviewing your documents.

I have a layover in a third country while travelling to my final destination. Do I need a transit visa?
In most cases, if you are flying with the same airline or partner airlines on all legs of the journey and all legs are booked under a single PNR, you will not need a transit visa. However, the best answer on this question can be provided by your airline. Call your airline’s customer support to get an official response from them to which they can be held accountable.
I can’t submit my old passport, since it was lost. What should I do?
Not all countries require your old passport for your visa application processing. You can check our visa requirements to know if you will need your old passport your visa application. In case, old passport is required but you have misplaced it, most countries’ embassies/consulates accept a declaration explaining the reason for not submitting your old passports along with the application. Can my visa be processed quicker than the time estimated by the foreign mission?
Embassies/consulates of some countries provide a service for quicker processing of visa applications at an extra cost. Our experts can guide you regarding the same. If any country does not provide such a service, there is no way to opt for quicker processing of visa applications. Local travel agents who claim to have connections at the missions that can help you process your visa applications quicker at an extra unofficial cost are mostly taking advantage of your urgency to travel. Be wary of handing your important documents to agents who make such claims.
Am I eligible for a refund if I cancel my travel plans?
You may be eligible for a full or partial refund subject to the conditions mentioned in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
